  Trained to Exploit Emotionally Vulnerable People?

  i don't post here much anymore, but i am working on a project with a few academics from my area who are in the psychology field.

  we are looking for printed evidence in their literature that jehovah's witnesses train their publishers/pioneers to target people who are suceptible to being recruited - i.e.

  people who have experienced a loss, or who are emotionally vulnerable.

Just walking aimlessly down the sidewalk, bumping into people, not saying anything but "the GB said this and they said that, I am so happy being controled by the GB, it's not 1914 or 2014 but maybe this 2114, I am so sorry I questioned the GB, I hope they don't kill me" LOL Still Totally ADD

  GB Doesn’t Believe in 1914 Anymore – My reasoning

  i have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.

  this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.

  there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

  Island Man there is something to what you said about it being 1934 instead of 1914. The reason I say that is because I have been hearing and reading on the history of so called WWI. Many now believe it was not a true world war because it did not effect the whole world unlike the way WWII did. If this thinking takes hold by many more historians the WT will have some kind of proof to change the date. Still Totally ADD

  Sleep Paralysis - YOUR EXPERIENCES

  so what have been your experiences with sleep paralysis?

  any connection to astral projection?

  this has interested me recently as i used to have sleep paralysis quite often years ago.

  Almost 40 years ago a friend of ours had experience sleep paralysis and he and his wife thought it was demons. Why because the night before their child brought home a fall picture of a pumpkin and a cat. The cat wasn't even black but red and green in color. So they called the elders and the elders and the parents concluded it was the picture that cause him to experience sleep paralysis. You know how those pesty demons just love kids pictures from school. So the made sure the picture was burned and then they all prayed together. The child got in trouble for bringing in demons into the home and everything was OK then on. Thanks for bringing up these silly memories of being in the cult. Sill Totally ADD

  it wasn't my preferred method of leaving but at least i'm as far as i can be from this cult.

  over 2 years ago i've tried to fade out but i guess i did it too drastically.

  i live in nyc so the entire territory is walkable and everybody in the congregation live pretty close by.

  hello all, as you know, when jw tv was announced, our board went wild.

  many comments, much speculation and alot of negative feedback on the quality, etc.

  well, what has me concerned is that i have not heard a peep from any of my connections left in kingdom-land.

  Wait until they are forced to come to the KH once a month to watch GB TV on the big screen. Remember friends if you don't come we will consider you very weak and wonder if you don't believe in the GB who is now representing and is more worthy of worship than God and Jesus. Only then maybe you will start hearing complaining from the OS. Still Totally ADD

  the other day we went to our friends business to have our computer worked on.

  our friend was raised a jw but never got baptized and left when he was in his late teens.

  any way we started talking about the new jw.org and the new tv show they have.
